Jun 13, 2018 Director of Mountain West Digital Library recently featured on KUED’s Contact
On May 31st, 2018, Kinza Masood was interviewed by Mary Dickson on KUED as part of the Contact interview series. The interview helped bring light to the amazing resources and information available for free at mwdl.org. Mountain West Digital Library (MWDL) is physically housed in the J. Willard Marriott Library and work with various partners that consist of academic libraries, public libraries, state agencies, historical societies and museums in the Mountain West region reach as far as Hawaii through an association with BYU Hawaii.
Masood describes the free service as, “it’s like going to Google for national cultural heritage and historic content.” MWDL aims to connect people with a common interest in genealogy and academic research, while also maximizing access.
The site itself is very easy to navigate through the amount of metadata created for each piece, but Masood adds that if anyone needs help finding a specific item that she is available to answer those questions at kinza.masood@mwdl.org
