Express Yourself: Exploring Creativity in English Language Teacher Education
Enrique Alejandro Basabe and Natalia Fabiola Muguiro, eds.
Santa Rosa, Argentina: Universidad Nacional de La Pampa, 2018
Rare Books is proud to announce the publication of a book containing a chapter by Lyuba Basin, one of our invaluable staffers. Lyuba spent eight months in La Pampa, Argentina on a Fullbright Scholarship teaching English at Universidad Nacional de La Pampa. Aside from discovering a love for teaching, another result was her participation in this book, writing its final chapter, “The Building Blocks of Building Books: The Artist’s Book in Practice.”
“Because of its focus on materiality and visual form, artist’s books can often transcend language barriers while still remaining faithful to their individual cultures. Artists’ books present a new alternative in sharing personal narratives cross-culturally.” — Lyuba Basin
“In a station at the Metro” – Ezra Pound
Lyuba also provided illustrations used throughout the book and is also the illustrator of its cover.
