Local Highlights from LGBTQ+ History Archive

The Archives of Human Sexuality and Gender consists of “20 individual collections, with a total page count of nearly one and a half million pages.” The database contains primary source LGBTQ+ history and culture materials from 1940 up until 2014. While thousands of stories exist in the archive, here are a few that highlight Salt Lake City and Utah from the 1980s during the early years of the AIDS epidemic
