Jun 16, 2016 Gibbs Smith Publishing House
Among the areas we collect in the Special Collections Print and Journal Department are the books of local publishers. One of the most prestigious of those presses is Gibbs Smith located in Kaysville, Utah.
Founded by Gibbs M. Smith and originally known as Peregrine Smith in its toddler years, Gibbs Smith was located in the top floor of a barn in East Layton, Utah. Now headquartered in Kaysville, the publisher specializes in books for young readers, interior design, architecture, cooking books, outdoor recreation, and books on Western and regional subjects, including the American South. Gibbs Smith books are beautifully designed and illustrated, on topics of general interest from cowboy humor to the art of the Western boot.

Posted at 22:35h, 14 JulyA wonderful collection of “eye candy” along with information of great interest. This is one of my favorite collections and especially when I just need a short break to “focus on something else” for a few precious minutes. Most certainly a worthwhile and interesting collection….
