Nov 15, 2021 What do you do if you can’t find a book in our collections?
With millions of items available at the J. Willard Marriott Library it’s hard to believe that we don’t always have All U Need, but what happens when there’s an item that we don’t have? In some cases, this is when Interlibrary Loan (ILL) steps in. ILL has the ability to get in touch with other libraries and organizations and borrow it for you. They can obtain books, newspapers, journal articles, and more all at no cost to current University of Utah students, staff, and faculty.
While book requests can take up to two weeks depending on where it’s coming from, articles can be provided as fast as 24 – 48 hours! Once your book does arrive, it can simply be picked up on the hold shelf on level 1 of the library, while articles are delivered digitally.
Want to learn how to use this service? There’s a handy how-to guide that will walk you through the process. Have further questions about ILL? Send your question using this form.
