Fall Fest at the Library (Free to students)

10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Level 3
J. Willard Marriott Library
Learning is how to win
“In order to be eligible to win the Nintendo Switch, you’ll need to stop by a few of our tables that will be set up during the event,” explains Jordan Hanzon, marketing & PR account executive at the library. “Each of the tables will feature one of many library services and resources that will be essential to your success in the semester.”
Hanzon continues, “For example, did you know that there is a librarian for each subject and major at the University of Utah? Or perhaps you weren’t aware of the library’s ability to buy new items based on your requests? Those are just a couple of things you could learn on your way to getting that prize!”
Don’t forget to eat!
An important part of the college experience is making sure to have the energy needed to get through all those classes. “At Fall Fest, we’ll be giving away free food during the entire event. This will range from fresh cinnamon rolls from Great Harvest to a good old slice of pizza for lunch,” shared Hanzon. “We’ll also have full size candy bars at the entrance tables for simply following the library on social media. There are plenty of ways to get some good grub!“
Why is the library doing Fall Fest?
At the end of the day, why is the library putting on this big party? “First and foremost, it’s for you, the students at the U. We want to make a good impression on you early on in the semester so that you know just how much we can offer,” says Jordan Hanzon. “Our goal at the library is to make sure you have everything you need to succeed—as well as knowing that you have a place here in this building. U Belong here at the U and especially in the Marriott Library!”
