Jul 28, 2026 Welcoming New Development Director, Andy Kidd
The Marriott Library has is pleased to welcome Andy Kidd as the new Lead Advancement Officer.
Andy will be connecting with library donors and potential donors, sharing the library’s vision and goals. His core responsibility will be securing major gifts and planned gifts to benefit the library’s endowments, collections and services.
Andy brings over 10 years of experience in development across higher education and the nonprofit sector, including past work as a Development Officer at Utah State University. Most recently, he served as Major Gifts Officer for A Child’s Hope Foundation, where he managed donor relationships for global initiatives and worked closely with the board of directors and advisory board.
“At the heart of my work is a simple passion, helping people connect with what is deeply meaningful to them so that they can help make the world a better place. I’m thrilled to bring that passion to the library and partner with colleagues to build strong support for our patrons and community programs,” explains Andy.
Outside of work, Andy stays plenty busy keeping up with his wife and their four kids. In his free time, you can usually find him gathering friends around the table for roleplaying games, diving into a good historical novel or taking on his latest DIY home and landscaping project. He’s excited to be joining the Marriott Library team and looks forward to getting to know everyone on campus.
“We are delighted to have Andy join the library,” comments Sarah Shreeves, Alice Sheets Marriott Dean of Libraries. “He has already learned a good deal about the library and I know that our donors will enjoy his enthusiastic outlook. It’s great to have him on board.”
