The Book Arts Program

The Book Arts Program at the J. Willard Marriott Library is pleased to announce our 2016 community workshop series! Over the course of the year, we’re offering various classes in encaustics, paper decoration, letterpress printing, leather binding and much more. Guest instructors include Julianna Christie, Karen Hanmer, Allyn Hart, Michelle Macfarlane, Stacy Phillips, Louona Tanner, Keiji Shinohara, Pamela Smith, Claire Taylor and Becky Williams Thomas.

A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts supports our 2016 community programming, and we are excited to have the College Book Art Association, as well as several local arts organizations as grant partners. Many of our 2016 workshops are being offered for free. We seek to serve a diverse representation of local and national communities, by providing access to high-quality art experiences to the public, including those who would otherwise be unable to afford such a class.

We encourage all to apply and/or share with anyone who may be interested in this unique opportunity.

All of the details for these workshops and others can be found on our website.

For questions regarding application or registration, please contact Allison Milham.
