Jumping Into Fall Semester!

This is my very first fall semester at the University of Utah, and I’m so excited to see so many students flowing through our doors! This year is another record-breaker for the U, with the largest freshmen class ever and total enrollment reaching more than 35,000.

One way we help our first-year students – as well as all other students – is through our Fall Fest event, this year happening on September 7 on level 3. This is a fun-filled three hours when students can talk with librarians and staff and learn about resources available through all four campus libraries.

Connecting with students face-to-face through an event geared just for them sends the message that the libraries are here to help them succeed and gives them a chance to better understand our services and collections. With spaces to support both quiet study and group study, faculty and staff who can help with research projects, so many collections to explore both in person and on line, and our technology-rich services such as the technology lending program and ProtoSpace services, the libraries really do have “All U Need.”

Come see us; we’re here for U!

All the best,

Sarah Shreeves
