If it’s 3D printing, virtual reality or even sewing, ProtoSpace has always been the premier spot in the library to utilize these tools and even take part in free workshops. This fall semester, those same great services will have a new home on level 1 near Starbucks and west entrance.  

The move will help ProtoSpace have a more prominent location for easier access to students as well as create more space for group study on level 2. There will be a special open house during this year’s Fall Fest on September 3rd that will give users hands-on experience to try out many of the technologies. 

Interested in learning about how to use these technologies? Visit one of the weekly sessions of “How-to ProtoSpace” with workshops so far that highlight button making, music production and 3D printing. More workshops will be added during the semester, and ProtoSpace program coordinator Mark Howell can be contacted with any questions about ProtoSpace at m.howell@utah.edu.
