In a previous post we introduced MCX Utah and the Marriott Library Materials Collection. This time around we want to answer the question “How do I use this collection?”

This promotional video follows Alex Carr on his journey to create and patent his CHAR Poles. The video highlights all of the Marriott library’s many resources he used. One extremely helpful resource was the Pantone Color Collection. This particular collection allowed him to choose exact colors, as well as touch and feel specific materials before it went into production.

The  Materials Collection and the Pantone Color Collection provide a more tangible element to the design process.
