Seventeenth Tanner Trust Fund Book is Published

The Tanner Trust Fund, a publishing arm of Marriott Library’s Special Collections, has published Fact, Fiction, and Polygamy: A Tale of Utah War Intrigue, 1857 – 1858 – A. G. Browne’s The Ward of the Three Guardians. The University of Utah Press will distribute the book for Tanner Trust Fund.

This story illuminates the intriguing journey of Henrietta Polydore, who was secretly brought from England to Salt Lake by her mother and aunt, both converts to Mormonism. Henrietta eventually returned to her father in England after a sensational legal case, but not before surviving a marriage and the Utah War of 1857-58. This book is edited by William P. MacKinnon and Kenneth L. Alford (Foreword by Richard E. Turley) and can be found on Amazon and through most major book sellers.

The Tanner Trust has published 17 books on topics around early Utah history and Mormonia, including the diary of Brigham Young. For more information, contact Special Collections.
