Hats off to the Ski Affair Board for putting-on yet another hugely successful gala, supporting the Ski & Snow Sports Archive for the 30th year! More than $80,000 was raised during the event, which included a silent auction, dinner, and awards ceremony.

The University of Utah Ski Teams was presented with the History-Maker Award, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the program’s inception in 1947. Since that time, Utah has won 15 team national championships, 14 going on the books as NCAA crowns.
On behalf of the late Pat Miller, Jim Miller and his sister Leslie Beauchesne accepted the S.J. (Joseph) Quinney Award for Outstanding Contributions to Skiing. One of the most successful ski coaches in collegiate history, Pat Miller led the Utes to 10 national championships from 1976-99. He joined the Ute staff as an assistant coach in 1974, became the men’s head coach in 1976 and added responsibilities for the women’s team two years later.
This year’s Sue Raemer Award went to outstanding volunteer, Lorraine Crouse, who has worked tirelessly on building the Ski & Snow Sports Archive.
