Special Collections and Pride Week
Tuesday, April 2nd, 11 AM – 1 PM
Marriott Library, Level 2
The Marriott Library zine collection (1990-2018) contains zines and zine-related materials such as buttons, stickers, and postcards that are made predominantly by women, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ authors, as well as people of color and religious minorities in the United States. These are just a few examples of the types of zines represented in the collection.
The Utah Pride Center Photograph Collection contains photos of events, marches, parades, and other gatherings. This slideshow includes images from the Utah Pride Festival in 2014 and 2015. Most of this collection is born-digital and available upon request through the Multimedia Department in Special Collections.
Affirmation: Gay and Lesbian Mormons Records contains correspondence, conference materials, flyers, programs, brochures, newsletters, and news clippings, most dealing with the Affirmation organization. Affirmation is a non-profit organization formed in 1977 and serves members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by holding conferences, workshops, programs and publishing newsletters all over the United States.

Posted at 15:03h, 01 AprilThank you so much for showcasing Pride Week, especially in light of the legislature’s efforts to eliminate DEI at the University level. It’s important to continue letting the University community know that all are welcome and are worthy of recognition and support.
