Mar 29, 2018 Storytelling Adobe Spark
Digital Storytelling continues to see various adaptations across the curriculum. From the 3-5 minute personal narrative to more creative documentary style storytelling, digital tools come in all forms. Advanced storytelling may require software with robust features. All things being equal, the simplest tool can sometimes be best suited for basic storytelling. The University of Utah’s agreement with Adobe provides students with access to the advanced tools found within the Creative Cloud. Adobe Premiere, a full-featured non-linear editing tool can be a wonderful tool for more advanced storytelling, but for a more homegrown solution, Adobe’s web-based editor is more than up to the task. Adobe’s Spark suite offers a suite of tools to help scaffold up the user’s skill set needed for more advanced techniques.
Sign-in to access the web-based tool via spark.adobe.com, using the option to sign-in with an Enterprise ID (use your UNID@utah.edu).
Offered along with a simple video editing tool, Adobe Spark also features web design and page layout tools.
For more information on these tools, please stop by the Marriott Library on Tuesday from 12:00pm – 2:00pm for drop-in sessions.
For further training, stop by www.adobe.com or www.lynda.com
