Jens Schnitzler is a freelance communications and media designer in Hamburg. Herr Schnitzler used our image of our leaf from the Gutenberg Bible, which he found in our blog, Open Book. Sean Adams is acting chair of the graphic design program at ArtCenter College of Design, California. Mr. Adams used our image from our copy of Reales Ordenanzas Para La Direccion, Regimen y Gobierno del Importante Cuerpo de la Mineria de Nueva-Espana, y de su Real Tribunal General (1783), which he found in our digital exhibition, ¡Viva México!. In an email, Mr. Adams wrote that this page is “a remarkably beautiful example of the typeface Caslon.”
