Mar 15, 2018 Weekly Drop-In GIS Information Sessions in the Digital Matters Lab
In fall 2017, GIS Services embarked on a new method for sharing the possibilities of GIS with others by offering drop-in information sessions. These sessions have continued into spring 2018, providing a great opportunity for students, staff, and faculty of the University of Utah to:
- Meet with a GIS expert to discuss geospatial projects
- Receive collaborative GIS support and assistance, and
- Learn more about GIS and ideas for incorporating it into developing projects and research
Each Tuesday from 12:00pm – 2:00pm, drop-in sessions are offered in the new Digital Matters Lab Pop-Up Space (located on Level 2 of the Marriott Library within the Katherine W. Dumke Fine Arts & Architecture Library – Room 2500). No appointment to attend these sessions is necessary – simply bring a geospatial project or idea you are working on and any questions you may have.
Although we are halfway through the semester, there are still several sessions remaining, being held on the following dates:
*No drop-in sessions will be held on March 17, 2018 due to Spring Break.
Alternatively, GIS Services continues to offer one-on-one consultations by appointment for those unable to attend these drop-in sessions. Visit the GIS Services website through the link below and select the “schedule an appointment” icon to reserve a consultation time.
