Dean’s Message, May 2025

The flowers are budding, the weather is warming and it’s time to once again celebrate commencement and the achievements of our students.

I’m so impressed to see this story of this avid library user, who will be graduating and is set to start her Master in Social Work in the fall. Working fulltime and attending the U fulltime, Keisha completed her bachelor’s degree and minor in just four years, which is truly remarkable.

Every year the library awards two Honors Program students with $1,000 each for their outstanding theses. Each year we continue to be awed by the students’ level of scholarship. This year the awards went to Auriana Dunn and Max Lepore.

Student employees are the fuel that keep the library running and this year we have 18 students who will be graduating. We have done a special highlight of one student, Elise LeMonnier, who while working at the library, authored a book on Open Education Resources!
