Aug 13, 2026 New Fall Fest Location, Same Great Event
Fall is known for being the season of change, so it makes sense that the annual Fall Fest at the Marriott Library would follow suit. On Thursday, September 3rd, from 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM, level 1 Lobby will be transformed into an autumnal welcoming party for everyone on campus to learn what the library has to offer.
Fall Fest at the Library
Thursday, September 3rd
10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Level 1 Lobby, J. Willard Marriott Library
What to expect
Starting at the west entrance, attendees will be greeted by a welcoming table and an opportunity to win a brand-new Nintendo Switch 2. “We’ve got tables representing nearly everything we have to offer at the library,” explains marketing & PR supervisor Jordan Hanzon.” It’s a great opportunity for students to learn how the library can help them succeed! Plus, visiting the tables is how you enter to win the grand prize. It’s a win-win!” Several tables will fill the level 1 lobby and spill into the Gould Auditorium as well as the new location of ProtoSpace on level 1. Attendees will be able to visit as many tables as they would like to learn about how that service can help them this semester.
Most tables from previous years will be in attendance, but this year’s Fall Fest will include presence from the new service at the University of Utah, Answer U. This new service serves as a central starting point for students, connecting them with information, resources and support services available across campus. “The library is such a central and trusted place on campus and a big reason why Answer U is located there. It makes sense to be at the biggest library event of the semester,” shares Answer U manager Allison Allred. “I’m hoping students can come, connect with us, and know they don’t need to navigate campus alone. Answer U is here for them.”
Not only will there be great information and a fantastic prize, but what party would be complete without delicious food? To kick off the event at 10:30, free Einstein’s Bagels and coffee from Starbuck’s will be available in the Gould Auditorium on level 1. Following up at noon, free sandwiches from Jimmy John’s will be available in the same location with drinks provided by Pepsi. There will also be snacks and candy at most of the participating tables. All of these events are while supplies last (and the food goes fast!), so be sure to be at the event on time.
The goal of Fall Fest
Fall Fest usually reaches over 3,000 students and that’s only grown each year. More services get added, and things change all for the goal of Student Success. “Fall Fest at the Library is just one more example of why we say that ‘Success Stars Here’ because it’s a great starting point to learn how we can help!” says Hanzon. “There are so many opportunities for students at this event. We just invite you to take that first step through the doors!”
