Now is the Time to Ask the Library for Books & Materials

Deadline extended to April 15th

The J. Willard Marriott Library is excited to announce a call for suggestions for one-time purchases to enhance University of Utah research and teaching collections. All current students, staff, and faculty are invited to suggest specific, big-ticket items: books, book series, databases, music & film collections, journal & newspaper back files, and datasets. Recent purchases include American Mathematical Society’s Graduate Studies in Mathematics, 2019-2022; the Cambridge Journals Digital Archive, 1770-2022; the Atlantic Monthly Archive; Bloomsbury Publishing’s Shakespeare’s Globe on Screen collection; The Times of India Newspaper Archive; and other materials.

Alternatively, contributors can identify key areas where librarian-curated acquisitions will make a significant impact on teaching, learning, and research across campus. Consider up-and-coming degree programs, new fields of study, and distinctive areas of specialization for the University of Utah.

Recommendations from Marriott Library users are invaluable in developing a robust collection that fosters knowledge creation and supports the diverse needs of the U campus. To submit a suggestion for potential acquisition, please complete the Online Suggestion Form.
